Pyrite Faceted Rondlles Wrapped in Sterling on Handforged Sterling Hoops

Best known as "Fool's Gold," Pyrite is actually a wonderfully versatile, mystical mineral which adds a touch of glamour and metallic sheen to even simple jewelry. Typically a brassy yellow in coloration, it can come in a variety of colors as it oxidizes. These earrings are created using 4mm faceted Pyrite rondelles in a lovely, slightly iridescent black. Contrasted with bright, shiny sterling, these evoke a classic, elegant era and look stunning & timeless.

Each sterling silver frame, approximately 1.25 inches across, is hand-formed by me, then tumbled to a high polish. I've used nearly two feet of fine gauge sterling wire to securely wrap each little sparkly stone to the frame, creating a delicate look to these elegant hoops.
