These have become one of my top selling earrings, especially as shown here "Bare." The sterling takes on a mirror finish after polishing, and tends to reflect whatever color the wearer has on. This creates a gorgeous, colorful effect and is really striking.
To begin, I take sheets of sterling silver and hammer the heck out of them. (I'm sure my neighbors think I'm a crazy person when I'm out in my studio!) After I have the effect I'm looking for, then I cut each individual circle. For these earrings, the circles graduate from 3/8" to 5/8", then back again. Once the circles have been cut, I use a dapping block to gently form each circle slightly outward at the center. Oxidization comes next, unless the "Bare" option is selected. Lastly, I tumble them overnight to create a highly polished, mirror finish. (These were a bugger to photograph because either my camera or I kept getting reflected on the sterling disks!)
The trio of circles swings freely from highly polished, handforged earwires, which are brightly polished and bare; a nice contrast to the oxidized finish if preferred.
You can choose Bare (shown here - highly polished, white-shiny sterling), Oxidized (some darker areas, some lighter areas - really highlights the texture), or Gunmetal (heavily oxidized, but not black). All finishes are highly polished.
Your jewelry will arrive in a lovely little box with an anti-tarnish liner, perfect for storing your new treasure or ready for any gift-giving occasion.
