Textured Sterling Oval & Carnelian Briolette Charm Earring

A hand-forged sterling silver oval has been hammered to add texture, in this case with a hatchmark on the bottom portion of the oval. (The top portion remains lightly hammered to soften and flatten, but is not textured.) I have lightly oxidized the metal, except the earwire, to bring out the detail in the texture. The sterling oval is approximately 3/4 of an inch long and just under 1/2 inch wide. Since each piece is completely made by me in my studio, these measurements will vary slightly.

A Grade A carnelian briolette in a deep, lush burnt orange dangles from the oval and is finished with my signature "wonky wrap." The carnelian measures approximately 10 x 8mm. Including the handforged sterling earwire, this earrings measures approximately 2 inches in overall length.

All metals are sterling silver. All components are made by me in my California studio.
