Chain of Pearls Necklace - Peacock Freshwater Pearls linked with Sterling Silver, Long Strand (36")

I absolutely love freshwater pearls, and I adore how contemporary they look when linked together with sterling silver wire. Called a "rosary link," this method of creating a chain of pearls uses fine gauge sterling silver wire (which I've oxidized to bring out the detail and create depth & texture) wrapped into tiny loops to securely attach one freshwater pearl to the next. Each pearl is approximately 4mm, and a lovely purple-blue shade of grey.

Overall, the necklace measures approximately 36 inches, and is finished with a handforged sterling S-Hook clasp. Because of the length, this chain of pearls can be worn longer, or can be doubled and worn with the clasp off to the side. What a great necklace to go from office to evening to a special weekend getaway! (Consider adding a lovely insignia charm for a really pretty finish!)
